The PCYMS was established to walk alongside youth as they learn to produce high-quality market animals while developing valuable life skills, including responsibility, goal setting, and financial literacy. With the unwavering support of the local community, generous buyers, and dedicated sponsors, the program continues to growoffering vital support to the next generation of farmers and agricultural leaders.
Exhibitors 21 years of age or younger who are actively caring for their animals as part of a 4-H project, FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), or Open Class are eligible to participate in the annual auction, held each year on the second Saturday in August during the Pierce County Fair.
