Shincheonji Church of Jesus Tanzania Church Holds Bible Exam on the Book of Revelation with Local Pastors and Believers

98 local Protestant pastors and 40 Shincheonji members participated in the Public Bible Exam

Chicago, Illinois Aug 27, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - On August 18, Shincheonji Church of Jesus (SCJ), the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Peter Tribe, Tanzania Church (Pastor: Hyuncheol Yoon, hereafter Shincheonji Tanzania Church) hosted a public Bible exam on the Book of Revelation across several major cities, including Dar es Salaam. The event brought together local Protestant pastors and members of Shincheonji Church.

The purpose of the exam was to reflect on the words of RevelationScripture that every believer must know todayand to provide time for participants to examine whether they had been keeping the Word of God (Revelation 22:1819) and standing firm in faith before Him. The exam consisted of 10 major questions and 33 sub-questions focused on Revelation. Participants were invited not only to demonstrate knowledge, but also to reflect on whether they had truly believed and practiced according to Scripture.

A total of 138 people took part, including 98 local Protestant pastors and 40 members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Unlike last years domestic testwhere only one denominational pastor participatedthis marks the first case of multiple pastors overseas joining such an event.

Average scores differed by group (Shincheonji members: 95 points; Protestant pastors: 7 points). However, the true aim of the exam was not to rank participants, but to encourage all to examine their faith through the Word of Revelation and to draw closer to God.

One pastor who participated remarked, Seeing Shincheonji members write down their answers without hesitation made me reflect on my own faith and calling as a pastor. Moving forward, I will study Revelation at the Shincheonji Zion Christian Mission Center and teach my congregation properly, so that they may walk the path of God and enter heaven.

Chairman Man Hee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has long emphasized the words of Revelation 22:1819, stating, To enter heaven, one must neither add to nor subtract from the words of Revelation, but fully understand and keep them. He has continually stressed that the standard for distinguishing truth from falsehood, orthodoxy from heresy, is not human tradition or doctrine, but the Word of Scripture itself.

Last year, Shincheonji Church also drew attention domestically by hosting a Bible exam with denominational pastors, in which 313 people participatedincluding one denominational pastor. The recent exam in Tanzania, with the participation of many local pastors, is considered a significant milestone as the first such overseas event.

A Shincheonji Church representative commented, This Bible exam is not merely an assessment of knowledge but a way to confirm whether ones faith is grounded in Scripture. We are grateful that pastors both in Korea and abroad are gradually joining these efforts. We look forward to seeing more churches and believers unite around the Word and build deeper fellowship.
